I usually make a festive song for this season, this year its taken me a sight bit longer as I didn't have clue where to start. I got the idea because of my housing situation is a bit precarious and live day to day with 12 hour notice of having to move on. Five years ago at this time of year I was on the streets, freezing my backside off and being very depressed . back then I wished for christmas with a roof over my head and christmas tree, not staying warm in a soup kitchen in my local town. Anyway that's the depressing bit out he way. The message is try to respect the homeless this season as I for one didn't land up homeless due to alcohol and drugs and I was shunned by he public due to a badly portrayed stereotype.
Anyway this piece was made in Cubase 8.5, mainly using Nexus and Serum. I believe this is version three as I remade this piece a few times, as I didn't want it sounding too depressive and to try and stick with a piece which retains some of this seasons festivities.
Yes I am singing on this piece, I have used light amounts of reverb and delay to great effect and this piece has been mixed down several times, to try and make it sound as good and as clear as possible.
