Groovy piece. Reminds me of Michael Jackson in a way. I thought the clap sample was a little cliche, but the percussion at the beginning is really cool. I think the kick could be a bit stronger in the mix, though. You might need some more compression, equalization, or stereo widening. The quirky texture at :27 is quite enjoyable. The busy beats at around the 1-minute mark contrast well to the chill, dreamy bit at 1:19, although you may have needed a smoother transition there (even a crash). The vocoder actually works quite well for your purposes here, too. You have a lot of cool rhythms and rich synth patterns here. The piece lacks a proper breakdown, though, and you could’ve done a lot more with phrasing and dynamic contrast. I also don’t think the latter part of the piece ever returns to the emotional height of the first couple of minutes. Still, this is a really cool, catchy, and unique piece. Keep up the good work!
