I have been told that the best way to understand something is to break it down. So I decided to practice and better hone my skills with a remix of this pirate-themed groove. It was simple, really. The note pattern is fairly constant and the instruments aren't too varied or complex. All in all, very easy to pick apart and understand. I hope you enjoy!

Meh ?? Burst the music please. Use more instruments please

At least you tried...

Stardust-Nation responds:

yeah lol

it's ridiculously off key. Some sounds were unnecessarily high pitched and the bassline the entire time was several steps off. and the 2 leads never synced. What happened to drums? no kick

Stardust-Nation responds:

-______- yeems

The drop was nowhere good enough. You need to layer the instruments!

Stardust-Nation responds:

I would have improved it, if I'd intended for it to be a "drop"

Thanks for the critique though

Eh, it's okay? Needs some work though. Like I thought the drums weren't loud enough, and it felt kinda empty. And that lead instrument I don't think fits very well.

Stardust-Nation responds:

Thank you for the feedback. I know that the drums weren't very loud, but I felt like they wouldn't add much overall to the piece. Besides, I was limited in both knowledge and resources to make a truly exceptional percussion section, With regards to the lead synth: yes, I know it's a bit tinny. But I was going for a more retro video game type feel as opposed to a more polished sounding orchestra. Not sure how to fix the emptiness though.
