...Wow, you're a on a freakin' ROLL with these Kanto themes, aren't ya? XD Let's do this!
From the beginning already, we can hear these epic/intimidating choirs, so I'm guessing that this one's gonna be more on the orchestral side than the electronic side. I like how you kept the fanfare sound effects goin' on ever since it got remixed by the Pokemon Company. You even added electric guitars, too, which fits what the Fire Red remix was going for, and boy my ears are LOVIN' IT! Seems like you're really nailing this one.
The one critic I'd have aside these positive ones up there is that I'm starting to feel what TaintedLogic was saying in his review: this theme, like many from the Pokemon ones/video game gere in general, is quite repetitive, and though it is MEANT to be and you, as usual, added an epic ending to avoid it being a simple loop, it sounds like an enhanced version of the original theme - which is awesome - but it feels... "lacking of your own spin", so to speak. For example, compared to your Sylph Co. or Team Rocket hideout themes, you didn't add anything else than just what you got from the original theme. It's not bad in itself. Simply, I wonder if you shouldn't keep experimenting and add things as you keep remixing these tracks.
Food for thought! (Because if what you were going for WASN'T to personalize it and stay true to the original, then mission accomplished)
Mind you, it wasn't really a complain, because as a video game fan, I can't be any less happy that you remastered what is basically my FAVORITE Pokemon Champion theme, I can't thank you enough for that. Also? You mentioned Alder and Diantha, but... I do hope that you'll remix Iris' Champion theme as well. I know she's unpopular and all, and her theme's perceived as girly because of how bouncy it is, but do consider adding that one to your collection too. I'm sure it'll be worth the shot ;)
Cheers!
