So I wanted to make a chip tune. But I couldn't afford Massive or such then. I also didn't know how to use synthesizers. But hey, I can use a sampler and have some programming skillz...
I wrote a script which can dump wav files containing sine / square / triangle / saw waves at 440 Hz (A3.) Put them in EXS24 in Logic and voila, I have chip-tune instruments! (Although this method has some downside - aliasing at high tone, for example.)
For the drum track, I used Bxfr, where you can create 8bit sound effects which you can freely use.
And so this tune was born. Hope you enjoy :)
Used:
My programming skills
Bfxr (http://www.bfxr.net)
Logic Pro 9 / X (I had a goddamn PC crash during creation which made me update Logic)
Axiom Pro 61
