For a youngster, you did a good job. Have a 5 man! You've earned it with this one, I see the effort.
Finally finished something, a pretty complex house/techno track, I replaced the drums at the drop because they were heavy dubstep drums in an atmospheric, optimistic EDM track. Despite their high volume the synths absolutely swallowed the mid frequencies and the drums primarily resdied in lower mid frequencies, so the much higher pitched but quieter house percussion was actually more easily heard! First drop's just a simple 1Kick 2 3OH 4 beat repeated but the second is a bit more complex, while still relatively simple with 1Kick 2 3OH 4 5Clap 6 7OH 8 kinda rhythm with some variation. I still kept the dubsteppy drums, but only to add in at the last few bars of both drops to give a subtle sense of progression
EDIT 26/08/2016:
There were a couple things nagging me about the mastering and ending, so I reduced the volume of the modified cubist pumpkin, increased the volume of a couple synths that were originally centre stage that slowly got pushed further back by clumsy mastering; and extended the song a little because I wanted it to loop well and I also wasn't entirely happy with the original ending since the echoing clap was a little syncopated. Also changed the title from "FLS - A New World" to "DCD7 - A New World - FLS" to make it kinda symmetrical, make the title centrestage and make my name more memorable; y'know, stick out more...

Wow, the ratings on this one are making a comeback... This was rated 2 on the first day it was uploaded! It's so weird that my tame, normal songs get odd, fluctuating ratings; but my crazy, odd, mixed bag ones don't. I make a normal-ish dance song here, it gets 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s. I make a song called Scarred where I decide to break the rules a bit and go up to +6db and it gets 3s and 4s and not much attention. I make a preview just another dubstep song and its views explode, but its ratings go from 1-5. I make a dubstep drop out of nothing but distorted and edited Chipstep SFX and Harmour's Image resynthesis in Cubotics and 3s and 4s and meh attention. Weird...
