A bit to disharmonic for me but ok, jazz is pretty much uncontrollable. I have to admit the synth guitars were quite nice. Usually they sound like poo but there are quite a few good "clean" guitar synths out there.
Nice messing around with some glitches.
Thanks for your vote, DarKsidE555! You voted 4 for dj_padman - in the middle, raising its score from 3.75 to 3.78.
the disharmonic feel is me trying to make it a little bit bluesier/more depressed. Wait till you're feeling bad, and then listen :)
Thanks for listening!
one of my favourites man. I think its the slightly detuned piano or something, but its awesome. Personally, i reckon you could have just left it with the instruments used in the beginning, but it all works. love it.
you know, I wanted to do that. Have the first part be basically the entire track. But I thought people would grill me.
I got a little bit of inspiration from Mr Scruff (Scuff?) on the cd you lent me. Taking it back to the old school.
So you got your jazz goin on. But the melody is just drifting and bouncing about the whole time, like you glitch dnb pieces. It makes for an intersting combination.
The guitar synth was timed nicely, and it had a nice bluesy laid back jazz beat. The acoustic bass was subtle, but a nescasarry for the style. Some of its notes sounded a little cut short.
Then the song just melts away....
thanks for the helpful feedback, I gotta agree with you about the notes being a little bit cut short.. Probably wanted to loosen 'em up a bit.
Give me time, I'll get this blues thing eventually :)
Once again, thanks.
