never write music when you're not sober from any substance. this is the result. supposedly the first entry for NGAUC '16. but i was too high that night and couldn't finish it, after that i lost all the motivation. i apologize for the shitty loop.

so... have fun. have a great weekend.

Super nice production and a wicked palette of sounds! Love the harmony too, you obviously know what you're doing. Love it!

Classic dem0 stuff. You certainly have a knack for creating multi-layered tracks, which is sometimes an underestimated quality. It always feels varied, despite the fact that it's always the same metrics and tempo, you'd think it get tiring after a while. However, it drags you further into the spiral.

What I have always considered to be your weakness is the fact that your melodic bases and hooks seem relatively sub-par compared to the weight of the full hybrid orchestra you use in your tracks. You always use a huge variety of sounds, especially futuristic and glitch-sounding, and you certainly have an ear for them. You also have a good sense of structure and progression. However, that should also be accompanied by a good understanding of melody and how a good theme can change the entire game. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love your style, but sometimes it leaves me a bit "cold", like I'm missing something. It's good for action scenes, or scenes where things are always in motion and frantic, either as a foreground or background music. But in my opinion it lacks that oomph, that little bit of extra punch that says "Yeah, that's the stuff I'm looking for!"

Keep it up, mate. I know you'll get there :)

Two halves here as there's certain parts I want to write about:

#1 - Atmospherically, my favourite section has to definitely be 0:52 - 1:23. The futuristic glitching along with the layered strings and deep-space atmosphere is something I absolutely love about this section. If you ever decide to revisit this project, you should strongly consider building a similar full song out of this section of the track. With some slow percussion backing it and some-way of dragging it out into a full song idea-wise, you'll have yourself another killer 5/5 track.

#2 - Regarding the rest of the track, there's a good assortment of rhythmic tonals which helps drive this piece forward and keep it interesting to listen to with the supporting glitch tonals. My main criticism is that the remaining segments of the track sound somewhat 'weaker' than your previous NGAUC upload by comparison (Single Complexity). It might be that it could start to get abit on the repetitive side for the last 60 seconds of the track with the repeating bass arp or I'm not hearing as much of the rich diversity which I'm used to hearing from alot of your other work due to how you've composed this particular piece (although the spaced-apart arp's pulsing in and out are quite nice and help the segment). Maybe I'm just sad that I can't hear those lovely hand pans in this ;)
