Yep... I didn´t submit a lot this year by now... Hope it will get better. Anyway... This is my submission for AIM 2016. It´s fully orchestral and mixing here was a pain. It´s probably not for everyone. I was experimenting with odd meters again (7/8 at the beginning) and it´s my first piece where I included a lot of choir work. That´s it ;) I just suggest you watch at the art which inspired this track while listening to it... Have fun ;)

EDIT: Fixed the violins in the outro which were a bit chopped at the end...

Original art is by an artist with way too few followers. So go and follow KeltsGrizz ( http://keltsgrizz.newgrounds.com/ )

***This is a NGUAC first round review. Forgive me if it is short, there are a hundred songs to get through!! Further rounds will be MUCH more in detail on your review!!***

WOW. Your sounds are awesome. I seriously want your library. Im stuck in this pit of basic VST's and I can only do SO much with them. This was a great composition and man that oboe, Those VOICES. SO GOOD. Very little to say negatively about this

Well done. Good luck!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the nice feedback! Glad you liked it.

Awesome. At the beginning i sat down letting that music into myself only to be torn apart in the middle and then at the end be released to be able to process what just happened. I escaped the seemingly certain death threat of the leviathan.

Thanks a lot! Also I´m glad to hear that you managed to escape alive ;)

Yeah, more reverb. It's rather deserted, especially because the art seems to depict an atmosphere full of whoosh because omg wings. But I also hate you so much that I would push you into a ceiling fan. You have fun musical ideas plus changes though hee haw wtf those VSTs can I have some great okay bye.

This sets the perfect atmosphere! This is really something special! I would've put some more reverb on the chorus vst (the choir), because it's really dry. I would say the same about the instrument that comes in at 2:27, i forget what thats called...its a brass instrument, I forget the name of it, it's also dry as well as the fluttering strings that come in, I'd add more reverb to those too.

Other than that, the song is superb. Great work.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I just uploaded a new version now with more reverb (I hope I didn´t drown it in reverb now since my ears are a bit tired after work today...). The instrument you mean at the end is an oboe ;) I actually kept it relatively dry due to a reason. I wanted to have it very close for it´s melody but I got your point and added some reverb to the oboe, too, in the new version. Hmmm... normally I overuse reverb in general but maybe this time I was a bit too careful...

Anyway... Glad you like the piece! Have fun!!

This is very well done. elegant as usually. i got the goosebumps when the orchestra built up in the middle part. the choir were chopping in the beginning, but those were it, and the choir added up the power to the piece. i love your choice of melodies and harmonics for the arrangement. very bittersweet in a strange way.

great work! good luck!

Hey! The bear is back ;) When did you return to your old name? I have to regret I was a bit inactive the last weeks... Thanks a lot for the review. Do you mean the choir was to loud at the beginning when it started? I guessed it would take a bit to get used to the strange choir melody at the beginning but I didn´t really want to change it... Yay!!! I´m so happy you returned to the bear!!!
