Yaaaas that sorta dancehall beat that starts at 02:34 though! I think this is a good example of an experimental electronic piece. I really enjoy the rather minimal approach so that every sound gets a chance to say what it wants in full. But, I do wish it didn't end so suddenly, especially after such a great groove with the percussion near the end. At least like...a filtered fadeout of the beat going on over the grumbly bass instead of suddenly dropping everything out. But, nice work!

This is pretty interesting, but I feel like the beginning 8-bit synth was a bit too sharp on the high end, maybe bring that down a bit. I like the atmosphere of this track though. Definitely has that feeling of mystery and discovery like the Metroid games did. However, I have a couple big complaints. 1:39 has no transition to that next part whatsoever :/. It just jumps right in and it scares the listener and alienates them.

It also clashes with what you just introduced, so really that part doesn't fit in at all. So really 1:39 up to that next part could be completely cut out to make the song flow better. But at 2:08, now THAT part actually fits in and has a transition in it, which is why I don't get why you put the part before that in the song. I don't know if I would've added the clap in myself, it doesn't fit imo and isn't used very long. It feels too random. Also the sidestick hits are too dry they need reverb. I like the kick though with the bass rumble, that's nice.

Aside from those issues, you give nice atmosphere here with some good elements that do feel like Metroid and fits the picture (for the most part). So well done, but this has potential to be more than it is. Nice job, needs tweaking though. I do like most of it.
