You definitely left yourself a lot of space to work with at the beginning. Really interesting sound design here. The bit at :23 was pretty unexpected. You have these cute synths and electronic risers overlaying this urban, somewhat exotic beat. I think it would’ve even been beneficial to bring the beat further forward in the mix during the first minute or so. However, the first section of this piece is extremely drawn out, and there isn’t really any sort of emotional height until almost the 2-minute mark. The gritty minimalism at 1:53 actually works pretty well. I wish it had developed more beyond the relatively simple progression you had there, though. Also, I think you could’ve brought out the vocals at 2:29 more. That gruff mid-range bass was losing my interest at that point. I liked the bridge at 3:26 a lot. It adds some much-needed variety, and is probably the closest thing you get to a melody during the entire piece. The atmosphere of the piece is really good though, and I’m definitely giving you some credit for originality. The main thing I think you need to work on is having stronger melodic content in your pieces. The dance patterns at the beginning are too fleeting to serve that function. Overall solid work. Keep at it, man. ;)

Dubstep was a bit too off-beat, but it was a great song anyways!
