Author Comments

We needed to make a song in the style of Jimi hendrix for a school assignment.

Vocals: Sebastien Romero
Drums: Erik van Zoelen
Guitar: Floris Hagemans
Bass: Arie van den velden

LYRICS:

When the leaves coil into ashes

and the hollow oak season perishes,

the rain will embrace all that has been.

And the burdens and depressions,

of those who have persisted,

will hold on to the storm and depart.

Oh lord what my eyes have seen.
Oh lord, has altered my reality.
Oh no what my eyes have seen.

And the perceiverment of the hollow,
has altered my eyes.

Somewhere a sun is ascending,

and the elderly forest will burn and bawl,

for every leaf that goes I howl and sympathize.

For perceiving the remaining,

will evoke reflections and,

everything will live again and bloom.

Oh lord what my eyes have seen.
Oh lord, has altered my reality.
Oh no what my eyes have seen.

And the perceiverment of the hollow,
has altered my eyes.

You guys captured that Little Wing/Hendrix feel really nicely on this one, especially on the guitar. I've tried learning Little Wing a few times and getting that old-school RnB rhythm and articulation is really hard, so this is impressive. Love the backing vocals too -- funnily enough, it reminds me Cream's "I Feel Free". You must go to a pretty rad school for them to give you an assignment like this. Great job :)

amazing
