Great melody, soothing synths and a great retro feel overall. The transition at 0:27 is fantastic, and gives me that retro funk feel. I felt like the song started a bit abruptly. The snare tthat plays for the first 27 seconds sounds quite decent, but if I were to pick on something it would be that I felt like it lacked a bit more hi-end. I get that you were going for the retro drum sound, but I still think it would be better if it had a bit more clarity.

Actually liked the abrupt crash ending at 1:55, though I also think thatthe crash sample itself doesn't mix well in the song.
The track portrays the art in a great way and the mixing is on point.

Sounds good man, i like the styles you combined here, couldnt really here the kick at all though. Pretty good job.

MrSmash64 responds:

yea, i agree with the kick problem. but this was as best i can do. you should've heard the amount of mixes i tossed cuz the kick ruined it

Was listening to this in my car on my way back from work. A real lifter! I'm not a fan of fades though. ^^

MrSmash64 responds:

tbh i only faded to fit the time frame lol

Wow, there's some serious bite to this flavorful tune! Good variation, good mixing, fits the picture, fun to listen to, great dynamics, great transitions, this has a lot of stuff. It's like eating a gobstopper but if converted into a song.

I'll say this though, the crash at 1:55 was too abrupt, and i don't like the way that was mixed, I feel it couldve used a bright crash cymbal with some delay and slight reverb. Ohh.....a key change! This is really something. Overall I love this. Great job. It's a shame it fades out the way it does though, would've loved to hear that go at least a little longer before fading out.

MrSmash64 responds:

thanks for the advice! 1:55 was actually a mistake though. i didn't notice i used the wrong sample until i uploaded it. should've used preview :(

It like an 8/bit dubstep. Love it.

Glad to hear! although the actual genre is future bass
