Hi everybody! Oh my god it's great to be back to being an active musician on Newgrounds! Six years it's been since I made any contribution whatsoever!

I've been focused on my professional wrestling career. I've gone places, met people, been on TV, been to other countries. It's been sweet. But it can be stressful at times. Every wrestler would agree, as they would that everybody needs a way to clear their minds.

So after rummaging through some of my old possessions, about $20 on eBay, and the stress trigger that told me I needed to clear my mind off every day life in the real world, I figured I'd return to a past I once lived and loved. I'm finally back in action here on Newgrounds!

I've missed this so much. I've missed all of you so much.

This piece is from a more recent Sonic game, and I wanted to post this just in time for the 25th anniversary of Sonic. Looks like I'm early but that's probably a good thing.

I not only wanted to use some old elements from my older stuff to see if I got it after six years of being afk, but I've also taken some time to really study up on some more functions that I'd like to use more often. Even featuring voice clips from a cutscene from the actual game itself (which is why some of the original music kinda leaked onto here. Nothing I could do about that)

I'm proud to make this my comeback song. I'm back babay!!!!!

One more thing, feel free to be honest in any vote and review. Hope you guys enjoy this and, thank you all very much

Owen!!! Good to see you again brother! Man it's great to be back. Though I gotta say it's been tougher to write music lately. Could be the outdated program I'm using, could be that I don't have as much time at age 27 than I did at 20. Could be the multiple concussions I've suffered over my time as a wrestler. But that's not stopping me lol

Great track, adventurous and bold. It transitioned well throughout and didn't feel choppy. The bass melodies were well done. Just a few things:
1.) the precussions more present, not necessarily louder. It sounded just a little lacking.

2.) the voices just sound out of place especially after repeating several times. Then again I'm more of an instrumental guy myself lol so I may be biased. Perhaps cutting and sampling bits and pieces of the voice lines to match the track could work better?

3.) Definitely seconding on Horsen's input regarding the hi hats. Not gonna beat a dead horsen about that...hue.

Overall I enjoyed this one a lot! Keep up the great work if you plan on making more! Hopefully you do!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Yeah I really focused on the bass here. I found a way to make that "wah-wah" bass that I've wanted for so long. The voice clips were something new I wanted to try. I've done something like that once before (Sonic & Knux Death Egg, 2008). But never anything like this. There were complicated settings, volume issues, either Tails or Sonic being inaudible. Something I'll definitely have fun learning.

Thank you for the review. Means a lot. I'm just getting started . . . . again

this is really wonderful! its nice and nostalgic while being easy to listen to.

for the future:
lighten up with the high hat slammin, mod your volumes as you play, and feel organic with the music.

Thank you very much for your honesty. The hats were actually something I was worried about a little bit, but then most of my instrument selections were for bass, so I felt like I needed some sort of a treble percussion. But there were so many selections of hats, some of them were so iffy. I totally forgot how wide of a selection this program had. I can even make my own from scratch. I forgot how difficult that was.

Believe me, this was a blast to the past for me too, in more than one way
