Track for a weekly challenge where the theme was "Summer or Winter", tossed together yesterday (I'll partly blame the repetitive nature on the short timeframe) with some additional mixing touches today. Experimenting with tape saturation for the first time; don't know what I'm doing but it's exciting and fun!

At parts (mainly the "bridge"?) it ended up reminding me a little of certain Touhou arrangements. Don't mind at all, don't mind at all.

All guitars and bass recorded straight into FL Studio via a PodXT, rest is sequenced (EZdrummer 2 + Addictive Drums and Metropolis ARK 1).

The metal intro feels classic, but not in a particularly bad way, more in a tried and tested way. It maintains a decent consistency without feeling repetitive. I can say I'm genuinely enjoying listening to this. It feels somewhat regular, but that doesn't make it bad. At the end, it still maintains some feeling of consistency, but it's also quite abrupt. Work on making the ending come down more smooth if possible.

Torzelan responds:

Always glad when people don't trash stuff for not being innovative (for the sake of being innovative, basically) since... Well, I'm not trying to be. Just having fun with and learning the type of music I like listening to which was pretty much perfected long ago. :)

Agree with the ending criticism. Cool to hear it doesn't sound /too/ reptitive even though it definitely is (again, mostly because of the limited scope of the "project") - exact same drum pattern is pasted six times over the three "choruses" haha.

Thanks man, appreciate it!
