Reds and Blues

It's a rarity that I handle serious issues in my work, but this is one of those rarities.

Drenched in reds and blues, curled up into a ball, awaiting against the odds.
Swimming in his own juice, with a body so small, awaiting an act of God.

Hey! Watch that cranium there!
Hey! Now you wouldn't dare!
Hey! Now this isn't fair!
This isn't what he was promised at all.

Drenched in reds and blues, body parts cold as ice, no longer inside his dome.
Victim of the abuse, rendered slice by slice, denied his freedom and home.

Why? There was so much to share.
Why? Doesn't anyone care?
Why? Another cross to bear?
A little second thought would've sufficed.

It's bad enough degenerates roam our universal institution.
But this day and age (in their barbaric rage), they demand we embrace their delusion.

They can take away his heart.
They can take away his brain.
They may take away his life,
But the soul will still remain.

Perfect read, properly animated, though maybe not as smooth as it could've been. Sounds slightly boxy, a little soundproofing around the mic area could help, I used a few styrofoam beer cooler lids as a quickie fix, but was only partially effective due to density. Ricepirate's got a video called 'don't sound shitty', worth a look.

Very decent poem, would you consider adding the lines to the author comments?

GrimJimmy responds:

I don't have a mic. I recorded this with my camera then converted the video to an mp3.

Also, sure I can include all the words.
