"Things always seem brighter... on The Other Side."
______________

So here's the comeback for this year. Pretty heavy jump-up/liquid that I'm in the middle of composing. This here's a taste, but I'm definitely diggin' this slightly different direction.

I absolutely love that little intro! I find it really hard to get the intro right in a song, I believe its a very important part of music. After all its the first thing the listener is going to hear and what their initial judgement is going to be of. That simplistic intro just really fit the rest of the song and is a very good start to let people know generally what the song is like in the first 10 seconds.

I feel like a bit more could be added to the drop, maybe something I like to call an 'overlead' which is basically an extra dominating lead instrument over the top of your other melodies, usually a relatively high pitched instrument to add some more depth, creating a more three dimensional sound. I actually found it hard to find a lot of things I didn't like about this so good work!

All the melodies flow well together and sound very pleasing. I like how you have different layers of tone in the first part but haven't overdone the bass or anything like a lot of new artists do. The drums of the that kick in sound perfect for the genre too. One thing I hope you don't do with the full version is if you have multiple choruses, don't make them exactly the same. Alter the second one a bit, add some variation, it always makes the music sound like a bit more love has gone into it.

Anyway, good work as a whole, Looking forward to the full release!

Thanks for the feedback! Mm... I'm thinkin' the drop is fine the way it is currently. I want it to be fairly simple, uncomplicated, and big enough to leave an impact, but not too big, y'know? And definitely will keep the variation at the forefront of my mind ;) Much appreciated!

First off really really good work! Great transitions, melodies, and mixing. The only problems I can find are that the intro needs to be a bit slower, only by about a second, the song needs to be a bit longer, and that the song needs an actual outro because just fading out doesn't really fit this type of song. Either way, keep this up! =D

JandreParis responds:

Hmmm... Seems like people want the intro to be a tiny bit longer. I might have an idea to sort that out. Definitely won't end the song with that kind of outro. I've got the outro already in mind ;) This is just a taste and lot of things are placeholder before they're fully fleshed out. Thanks for the sentiments!

Mixing is fine, nothing to say on that. The bass, I think the mids could be cut a bit to make it deeper.
Nice chords and melody.
Good drums, gj on that.

Are you going to make a proper intro and outro or leave it like this. I'd give an extra .5 stars if there was a proper intro and outro.

JandreParis responds:

I may leave the intro like that, but the outro has yet to be constructed. Kinda bobbin' between ideas. Definitely could cut the mids. Thanks for the input!
