Basically everything has been acknowledged by Gragon's review, but I'll give you my own thoughts on the track.
I like everything up until the first drop. I don't know what you did with the drops, but...I hate that bass. There's no other way to put it, at least not in my eyes. To me it sounds like it has been overdistorted or just clips all the time. That's my opinion on the sound though, some may like it.
The part after the first drop is similar to the start, but sounds nice.
The slow down is kind of cool, but I feel it varies too much in speed from the rest of the song.
During the second drop, it sounds like an exact replica/copy-pase of the first drop (besides the speed). More variety would be cool.
I can see where you were going with this, but I just can't get behind it due to the bass and lack of variety. Keep on trying though.
You see, I usually just use Software Instruments and modify them until I get the sound I want. That's why the beginning (The melodic part) sounds good. I'm good with melodies, but as soon as I have to make my own bass sound, especially a dubstep one, everything sounds horrible. Thanks for the review :)
The synth at the start has a nice melody but is a bit of a weird sound.
Enjoying the part after the intro, but there's something going on with one of your synths that's kind of a wobbly wind sort of thing, and it doesn't sound good. Maybe try seeing if you could add a lowpass to cut that out?
Dubstep normally sounds better with snares rather than claps.
Build is nice, but the bass is WAY too loud at the drop and it sounds terrible. You could also have at least tried to make it vaguely in key and not repetitive.
Taking a page out of Rukkus' book with the slowed down second drop, I see... interesting... and another one by literally just copy-pasting everything.
This needs a lot of work. It's just too repetitive and doesn't really sound that good. You don't even have that much going on in it.
I can hear either clipping or a bit too much distortion at the drop. Also, I think more bass and a couple more instruments could make the drop work, as it sounds more like a distorted lead with a bit of pitch bending. If you do those things, this piece could work :)
I'm not good at making leads from scratch, so I usually just take Logic's software instruments and bend them to my will. I still don't know how to make a lead like Tobu... xD
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
