Does this sound good? What should I modify/keep?

So, I popped this out in a short time after getting my braces taken off today. It's a little deamau5 style thing, similar in style to some other tracks I've been working on recently. I thought it sounded pretty good, so I decided to ask the fine folks here on NG. I think it sounds pretty simple and nice. But again, what do you think?

I may end up finishing this track at some point. You know, if I didn't have to work for the rest of the week. ;-;

If you have any name suggestions as well, go ahead with them. I've been good at naming my tracks in a rather obscure manner as of late so I could probably come up with one. But I still would love to hear some suggestions.

Cheers guys c:

Its Really Good! Kind of to much loops though :C Maybe try modifying some parts. But Still Good Though.

MollusK-Music responds:

I think I see what you're saying. Everything in here is made by me aside from some crashes, so I assure you, there are no loops. Though, if you are just referring to repetition, I am already working on that.

Thanks for the feedback c:

This is good!
The beginning is really cool— I really liked the VR growl, actually— and the instrument you have with the melody is great-sounding. I agree with sYrge w/r/t the sidechaining, though, and also related to the chords, some of them sounded a little dissonant. That's not inherently a bad thing, but if you want it to be very harmonically smooth, you might want to change some of the chord tones so they don't aurally "rub" so much. Other than that, no criticisms that aren't just personal taste. Good start, man.

Much obliged, always happy to hear from you three. I do plan to address those points as much as possible in the finished product. I've actually changed the chords dramatically, so they are far less... rough, I want to say. They are more stabby and smoothly automated so they fade slightly from their initial hit. I'm tinkering with the plucks as well to make them a lot more smooth, and one of the layers traipses from side to side (left to right) over a 2 bar span, which gives what I think to be a nice subtle effect. I'm still thinking for names, so if you have any ideas feel free to pm me. Also, the sidechaining will be fixed at some point. I've been looking into it, doing my normal routine, but something unknown isn't working. It's a little frustrating, but if it's not tough it's not worth doing. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Sounds pretty solid so far. The drums sound good and work well with everything. However, i think you should make the lead pluck an octave higher to give it more melodic elements.
On the other side of things, there is that random Virtual-Riot-as-fuck transformer growl at the beginning. It sounds awesome in terms of sound design, but it doesn't really fit with the style. Other than that, the only thing is that the chords need to be way more sidechained, but I know for a fact that you're working on that already ;)
Cool stuff man!

Thanks, man. Yeah the points you raised are usually those kinds of last minute changes I make before I release a track. What I do is leave the track for a couple days so I can get my own unbiased opinion on what should be changed. And yes, that thing is VR as fuck, I agree is doesn't fit. BUT! that doesn't mean it can't. I added that for no particular reason other than that I liked its sound so I intend to fiddle with it until it sounds fluid with the rest of the track. My general idea with this so far is to sound random as hell but still groovy and easy-listening. So I'll definitely consider the criticisms. Thanks again, it's always nice to see you here, sYrge.

sounds pretty good so far :D the chord-lead thing doesn't sound too great - maybe add a stab at the start of the chords or some modulation. other than that its going pretty well ;)

MollusK-Music responds:

That was something I added in a brief moment to add more body. I'll certainly do some more work on it. Thanks for the feedback
