I don't know about these instruments. They're all doing their own thing at the same time, which creates a crowded, messy feel. Maybe have a melody and some instruments doing harmony, but make sure you don't have a bunch of separate melodies going on at the same time. Also, for the drop, one way to make it more powerful is to add more bass. You also may want to add a few more synths doing the melody and some subtle harmonies. Again, make sure you only have one melody happening at a time. Counter-melodies and harmonies would make everything in this sound more saturated without being cramped. Also, you might want to compress the drums a bit more, as they're hard to hear at some parts. Another thing to try is mixing a bit more. I feel like some instruments are just as strong as the lead, which makes the song confusing in a sense. One other thing I don't really like about this song is the transitions. They seem to just cut out every time you want to switch the melody. Everything should flow together without having to make everything fade out to transition.
Mostly what you need to improve on are your melodies. Don't have too many things going at once or else it will give it a crowded feel. One thing I recommend you do is listen to Tobu's music (because this is tagged as Tobu) and try and break down what he does. Try and pick out how all of his melodies fit together.
Remember not to rush your tracks. Take your time and make sure they are the best you can make them before releasing them. Rushed tracks most often get bad reviews, so just try to spend as much time as you can on your tracks. It takes me weeks to come up with a melody that I think is good enough to make into a song.
Sorry if this review was a bit harsh, but you won't feel the need to improve if you're getting compliments on things that aren't very well executed. Keep working at music production, though. Try to listen to more music of the style you want to create and break it down more technically. Listen to it as many times as you need to until you have the song structure broken down. Just make sure when you're making a song it's not copying someone. Always add your own twist on the genre that really makes the song your own. Think of it as a music producer's trademark. There are a few other things you could do better, but I think this is a good start. If you improve on these things, I see potential.
(One other thing you might try is switching up the genres you're producing. Try something like an electro house or progressive house song. Maybe even go out of the house genre completely.)
Thanks for the honest review! I'll definitely take that into account when I make songs. Toby is one of my favorite music artists, I try to break down each one of his songs. They are really simple but I can't seem to make anything like it... XD
It has a really nice and catchy tune. I think the only way for you to improve in your songs is to make a drop a bit more powerful. I just feel your drops are too weak. It's like in Colorful Enigma too. The tune is really good, but the drop lacks a bit of power. I feel like if you improved your drops your songs would sound a lot better! Anyways pretty good song. GJ ZyZyX. 4* :D
Drop needs more UMPH. K days it lol
