Title theme for a game title Overquill that is in the works. The person wanted a feeling of a legend being told, something that is evolving and mixing, ultimately leading to the end of the song, which is the guitar part that loops for the main title. It starts off retro with the 8bit chiptune sound, and slowly turns more modern with each section that plays. Hope you enjoy it. More songs to come.

Just taking a listen to the songs from people in my group in the NGUAC.

This is so melodic and pretty sounding, good job man! Also, GL!

An excellent piece of work. To say that you went for the "legend being told" vibe feels quite accurate. Throughout the piece I get this sense of progression, from humble beginning to... certitude of purpose? Like someone who figured out what their ultimate goal is. It really just puts me in mind of the protagonist standing atop a mountain and looking across the landscape as the sun sets in the distance. Evoking nostalgia, it also makes me think of many different adventure games from the past. Ultimately, the evolution of musical element from retro to modern really makes it its own song, something that I think will really help whatever its attached to stick out.

Thank you for the well written review. I'm glad it made you really feel the emotion I was trying to put in the song. I hope you get the chance to listen to the other songs for the project when they are ready to be released if you really liked this one a lot.
