As a young boy, the first exposure I had of David was in the Movie Labyrinth. As a villain in the film, Naturally, I despised him; however after a few more times watching the film, I came to enjoy his music. I bought my first Bowie album at age 10, not understanding the pop-culture references at first, but learning to enjoy his unique, eclectic style. Always reinventing himself to create a new sound, a new story. But I always found myself going back to this one song. The first song that touched my heart, like nobody else ever could. So this is for you, David. Because You earned every moment you had in the spotlight, and this was your swansong, in my opinion. Belated by years of good fortune and health, taken away in the night by Cancer. Rest easy, Major Tom. You're home now.
