Love is universal and effects all, even those who focus their all to destroy all else!

I'd like to introduce myself

You my friend, are my hero. I have been listening to your music for quite some time, as well as many others on newgrounds, but you are one, if not my favorite.

Anyway, this work is sheer genious.
The way you took the whole wedding march music, and almost turned it into funeral music. It's just genious man. One thing that sets this apart from your outstanding imagery pieces is the fact that you can't really tell a story here. It is more of an idea, or depictment (if that's a word) of a nightmare that is unseen within people.

Also, the way you have the whole....ugh im new to music composition so i dont know what it's called, but the thing that comes in with quarter and eighth notes to counter the melody, with the choral vioces.

All in all, i think this is one of the most genious emotional depictments (again with that word) i've ever heard on newgrounds.

Thank YOU for submitting it for me to hear.

(P.S. I am trying to get into music compisition, but i don't know where to start, if you could give me some pointers that would be great).

MaestroRage responds:

This was a rather strange inspiration to be honest. I was sitting in my room wondering why there was no evil marriage song. I mean surly evil people get married, so there must be SOMETHING to get married to. I know they love their slaughtering and their slaying, but sometime, somewhere, somebody has to play a tune >:(!

I'll be honest, I don't really know the term for what you mentioned yourself, though I do realize what you mean. I don't know much music theory wise, but i'm always willing to help anybody who asks. What I CAN tell you though, is to never stop. It may be old and cliche advice, but it is true. There will be many walls you hit in your journey that will make you want to just stop, but I can promise you, if you keep making, just anything, you will begin to mold what it is that lies in your head, and how you want to portray it.

Of course again, i'll always be here if you want somebody to listen or give you some ideas on something!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked the piece ^^.

FWOW! (the "F" was sposed to be there)

amazing how you can turn the theme song of one of the most happy times in one's life into something so.... evil, eerie, ... and other various words to describe it.

i love the little plucks in there,
i liked the snare, and the brass in there :)
i think the second choir sounded too... computerish?? it didn't sound real, but still was really nice in the piece.

such an imaginitive mind of yours. :) i applaude your creativity.

ps. i hate you because i love you. >_<

MaestroRage responds:

The second choir (I believe you are referring to the opera singer), is indeed quite computerish, but sadly that is the best solo voice plug-in I have, and you should hear it before I reverb the CRAP out of it X_x. It would make for a great techno synth, but yeah, for orchestral, not so much.

As for all the plugins, let me try to recall all the instruments, most of them come from East West Symphonic Gold.

East West Gold
French Horns
Pizzicato Strings (the plucky ones)
Solo Cello
Cello Chords

East West Silver
Ah choir

Solo Opera Singer - SoundFont
Irene Borich (I think thats the last name, I could be wrong)

I think thats all of it.

Also, it's great fun to hate to love people, or love to hate them, because then confusing statements like this can be written and in your confusion you just hate them :D!

That aside though, thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked the piece!

I LOVE how you make the wedding song sound like a funeral!

I guess what really gave that feel was the dissonant organs and cello, and especially the tubular bells.
The strings plucks are also a good add to vary the song.

Well, i have nothing much to say, except it's great!
MaestroRage : 117 points
Deflektor76 : 0 point

Ugh! I have to catch up! lol!

MaestroRage responds:

Well evil people need to get married and make evil children! I mean, can you imagine how many more sitcoms and shows we'd have if we just got some more evil young'ins out there?!

The point system should look like:

MaestroRage: Who cares
Deflektor76: Some number
Chuck Norris: Win.

It's always like that >:(

In any case, i'm glad you liked the piece, just don't get married to it, I hear it's bad luck ;).

Thanks for the review Deflektor. Once again, glad you liked it.

Dude! Now i understand why my music hurts your ears...one because my bad mastering and two because your music is crispy clear! This is purely astonishing! The bells gave it freedom! The drums gave it anger! The strings gave it piece! Well don't know what else to say! XD

Keep it Viewtiful!

MaestroRage responds:

Well it wasn't so much the bad mastering as it was simply the feel and genre. You see I don't listen to nearly enough electronic music as I should, especially since i've been meaning to dwell a bit into that field, and so listening to electronic music will give me a headache from time to time.

But like crack, it's slowly starting to take hold of my interests!

I'm glad you liked the piece, it's one of the more... interesting inspired ones :D. Thank you for the review ^^.

Bride of Darkness...

A very dark and unsettling piece Maestrow. The organ I assume is the melody and the bride is the vocal? As the groom and the bride of utter darkness assemble evil thoughts pase through both of their minds. Conquest, revenge on those that despised them, blood, murder. And with their wedding and the 'till death do us part' they are about to kiss when an angel bursts in the through the door. The bride, angered by this uninvited pest, blasts him with dark energy. The angel simply holds up a book and the shot is reflected at the groom. The groom's body disappers into nothingness and the angel, with the speed of light, slices clear through the bride, sending her into nothingness. But before she dies the angel mutters one thing, "God sends his regards..." and she falls. And as the angel walks out of the frightned congregation he stops and thinks for a minute, "Maybe I should have knocked first?...Nah..." Hope the story didn't creep you out. Keep up the good work...

MaestroRage responds:

heh, no Zen, you're reviews or anybody elses could creep me out. Though i'll be honest, my image was a much darker oriented one, it is good to see the other side of the spectrum.

Though your story could have used more explosions i'll forgive you this time ;).

All in all thank you for the story and review Zen, always a pleasure to read from you!
