This song has a very interesting story.
This song began it's life as me attempting to recreate some chords I heard in a Flume song. I don't know if I actually accomplished it. But, I still want to give Flume some credit.
Everything else I built off of that. The only samples used in this track are a crash and some nature sounds and shit. Every other sound used in here was either made by me or heavily altered to fit it's purpose. Therefore, It took damn forever and gave me computer a fucking brain haemorrhage trying to play it back in FL.
So, I hope you enjoy this little musical endeavour. I had a lot of fun making this, and also, sidechained it (Hell yeah!).
I also want to mention how heavily this song is inspired by Kasbo. He is absolutely incredible so I'll link you to his soundcloud: (Just copy and paste it, duh)
So yeah, thanks for listening and I hope you guys have some helpful feedback for me. c:

This is pretty good! But you asked for helpful feedback, so here it is :3

Pros: The point of the song was to have the chords move everything along, right? Because I thought that was achieved really well. There was a nice variety in feeling throughout the song. And dose nature sounds doe :D

Tips: Some of the harmonies at the beginning kind of bothered me, not sure if it was the notes played by the bell thing or just me being weird...
It was kind of repetitive, it could've used a little more variation. Maybe modulate the chord progression up or something? Idk...
And the buzzing synth sound (starting at 0:53) felt a little out of place to me, but that could have just been personal preference.

Overall, pretty solid piece! Keep it up man :)

MollusK-Music responds:

I really appreciate the honesty. I am always looking for what people like, so I can keep doing it. As well as what people don't like, so I can change them. So this is really helpful for me. I agree that the beginning of the song sounded a little peculiar. More than likely musician's deafness got the better of me, which isn't uncommon.

I appreciate the kind words as well, it certainly gives me some motivation, as well as helps me do better every time. Thanks again c:

Noice :) I like the nature sounds.

MollusK-Music responds:

Ahah, thanks. They do indeed add some flavour and I plan to use more in my new tracks as well. I would record my own, but It's a cold, baron wasteland in Canada. Cheers, man! cx

really good :D brace yourself, time for the constructive criticism :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

k so, the majority of the song, the songs (especially the chords :/) were too loud for the drums or the bell. Also, that weird bass at the start sounds like it was from a porno :3

Other than that though it was a really great song! high five /)

MollusK-Music responds:

Haha, that comment about the bass, though. cx

I see what you mean about them chords, so I'll work to fix that in future projects. I suppose I should have taken my own advice and been a little more thorough in my mix.

The chords were intended to be a driving force, though it shouldn't have overshadowed the drums, I agree.

Thanks for the honest feedback, it always helps me improve c:
