and the fifth track of sumirs3cjamsproject! Trying to change up the premise this week. Instead of improvisation over a constant loop, just one guitar/track this time. This one was recorded through a digital amp interface rather than my FX board. The track has a slightly disjunct funk groove with emphasis on offbeat sixteenth note divisions while diving into the symmetric patterns of the half-whole octatonic scale. Equidistant tonal systems are compartively easy to visualize and play on fretted instruments such as the guitar as you just need to shift what you play- in the case of HW & WH octatonic that's up a minor 3rd/down a major sixth or up/down three semitones/three frets. I hope you like the experimental dissonant sound, and I hope to see you for next week's edition.

That's... pretty nice work with those offbeat sixteenth note divisions, diving into the symmetric patterns of the half-whole octatonic scale! Nice Equidistant tonal systems! Yeah. Description's like a foreign language on this one (I imagine this is how it'd be to be an elderly person when I'm trying to explain how a computer works), but anyway, I did enjoy the experimental grunge; especially the somewhat more dystopian strumming that stringed in after the third minute. Feels more experimental; less like a full song than the previous weeklies, but it is a continuous stream of guitar play, varied and wired in vibe. Nice listen.

well, you analyzed this song rather expertly! lol, but on the real, the "foreign language" description is just for the sake of pretentious filler, but music theory is commonly made more complex than it really is, honestly. Perhaps I should explain some time if you're interested...

I like your word choice of "dystopian", it does seem fitting of the song, I think. Thanks for the review as usual!
