Fucking rights

What I don't get is people that keep saying 'Mega Man X songs need metal covers' or 'turns songs that aren't metal into metal'. Except, you know, they WERE metal. As close to metal as a SNES could get, digitized recordings notwithstanding.

Stupid people aside, this is a fucking hardcore cover, man. Now it's time to see what else you've done in the two years since.

Just like always.

Just like always man you made a pretty good Mega man song here. I loved hearing songs that weren't originally metal turned into metal. They always make for some kickass songs. Cyril did a great job on the Bass. Like usual great job on this heavy Mega Man cover.

Metal Mega Man! ...isn't that redundant? lol

If there's a sure fire way to get somebody to play an old game, it's to Power Up it's best song!
Dunno what else to say... everyone beat me to the punch. lol

DarKsidE555 responds:

Hehe thanks man. Glad you enjoyed some oldschool memories. :)

My favorite song of the game made greater.

I loved this song when I heard it on the SNES, but didn't like what they did on the PS1 port. I, too, shared Dichotomous' thoughts: "This song totally needs a metal cover." And I am impressed by what I hear. the beginning reminds me of the hum of an angry swarm of bees, While the heavy guitar always has me joining in with my air guitar. Awesome work, man. I'd like to hear a coer of either Gravity beetle or Neon Tiger.

DarKsidE555 responds:

That's what I thought instantly when gathering ideas for a new cover...This tunes certainly scream "METAL!". Haha...awesome...hope you had fun with your air guitaring! ;)

A new remix is one the way and should be finished soon. It's my third version of Zero's Theme out of Mega Man X2. I have gravity beetle on my "to do list" though, so it might be possible that I cover that one as well some day. :)

Anyways, thanks for checking!

Incredible job!

Although I've never actually played the 'X' saga personally, I've loved the games and the music dearly. So when I was watching replays of X3, I thought to myself, "Geez, Blast Hornet's theme is fuggin' hardcore... I'd love to hear a cover of it."

To be honest, I didn't expect to find one. But shit son, I was happy to find yours! I'm glad that a true rocker covered it, because a trancey/dancey version couldn't do this track justice. Hell, it would've sounded stupid. This cover has got balls, like the original.

I do have a suggestion though... or perhaps a personal preference. I think a little more bass would make this track even better, and maybe a breakdown on the drums... perhaps throwing in a few more kicks.

Aw hell... I don't know. I'm no musician. But I do sincerely love this track!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Why thanks a lot for the detailed review, always glad not to read 1 liners. :)

It's true that most Mega Man covers are very trancey/dancey and thats why I'm here. >:) At least trying to even the score a little. I totally agree with your made suggestions, though...I was bad at mixing a bass in the overall track at that time, I'm still learning in that resort...As for the drums, this was the best I could do at that time. Just listen to a couple of my newer songs and you should instantly hear the difference! :)

Thanks again for checking it ou! :D
