Kinda like a slow 8 bit vengance
I hadn't made any music in awhile, and figured I'd try throwing this together. It's kind of sort of dubstep-ish... perhaps? I dunno.
Just listen to it, dammit. xD
Enjoy!
Kinda like a slow 8 bit vengance
I really liked it! Sounds like a mix of ParagonX´s Chaoz Fantasy and Megaman songs.
Such a megaman feel to this piece! Takes me back to my Mega Man 4 button mashing days.
The Bass is a little outta place, I will give HYB that...however, I do not agree with him about the master volume at 0:42. The clash of everything is what gave this quick piece it's flare.
What has me interested the most about this piece, would have to be the samples. Not often do you find quality 8/16-bit samples out there that would mash together this well. How many sound gates were you using? My ears pick up on 2 at the least...or am I mistaken?
Its been a long day...12:33 eastern...cut me some slack O_o
Really like this :)
I hate to be so critical of songs because I know I can't deliver quality myself, but I have to be critical here.
- I think this is a hybrid between chipstep and something else.
The good:
- I liked the melody, the pitch bend worked out well in this case.
- There was a clear bass line.
- The drums used fit the whole mood of the song.
The bad:
- Although the melody was on point, the synth for the bass was not. I have no idea how but the notes seemed to clash in a bad way. (Not the chords, but the literal bass)
- I think there is a boat load of work that could be done at 0:42. I think the master volume should be toned down alot for that moment. I also think it was a hard jump to make for the chords to go up (An octave?) But it was still a huge jump for the listener.
Just a comment to make:
- The song was a bit short but I didn't take off stars because I have the same problem. I tried to make this rating as fair as it could be.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
