Original: Maple Wise
Theme of Stage 4
From Touhou 5: Mystic Square
Composed by ZUN

I put a lot of effort into this one, but perhaps not enough. As I was listening to each and every single drum kit I owned in FL Studio, none of them felt right except for one: the default MIDI drum set. Honestly speaking, this might be for the best or for the worst. Only the MIDI drum set had just the right amount of POP and volume to it, so it didn't drown out the rest of the song or feel completely foreign. The arrangement could also use some more work, with the only part I went absolutely wild on was the last two minutes of the song. However, I don't believe that's too bad, since I feel that the arrangements I did do are particularly strong. It's no Scarlet Fangs though, that's for sure, but it's not too shabby. I'd personally give it around 3-4 stars, but I'll leave the stars up to you guys.

Maple Wise remains one of my most favorite underrated Touhou songs of all time. It doesn't get spoken of much, but that doesn't change the fact that this song deserves some respect and attention.
