A few days ago a good friend reminded me about the joys of the first Diablo, a game I remember having many good times playing.
I decided to take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the game through various youtube videos when the ominous yet beautiful music of Tristram Village came flooding through the speakers.
I remember sitting around in the village just to listen to this track in its entirety when I was younger.

It wasn't long before I started pursuing the song further, looking to see if anyone had done any good remixes or remakes of it but most of them weren't enjoyable, all I wanted was a nice beat, some extra bass and some rhythm to tide me over.

It was with this that I decided to try my hand at remixing again, I had only tried remixing once before, (Corneria from Star Fox) and that didn't really turn out that fantastic.

This remix of Tristram Village by Sigurd Wedel gave me the inspiration to begin.

I spent 3? days working on this remix, most of the time was spent cutting and stretching the original track to get it in sync with the tempo I had in mind. The original was probably recorded live as it tends to speed up and slow down mid chorus and such, which made it very frustrating to mix with.

But it turned out pretty well, it's far from a perfect remix but I'm not a remixer so... yeah... this resulting track still makes me pretty happy and pleased. A few almost-all-day days till 5am well spent I think.

This track wont be featured in my 5th album as it's still copyright, the chorus and song itself leans heavily on the original.
That wont stop everyone from enjoying it though!

Find me on Youtube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and Baboom.

Awesome! It's nice to see a remix that moves with the original, instead of mashing it up into something else.

Ignyte responds:

When I was looking around for a good remix of it I mostly found terrible dubstep versions which just didnt fit with the feel of the original, at least in my opinion it didnt.

I appreciate your feedback.
