Donut Shop EP, Song 1/4: Hello again Newgrounds! I am back!
It’s been a while. I know. I spent lots of time on each and every song on this EP, so I can confidently say this is going to be my best one yet! Stargazing is a happy, hopeful song and I put it first on the list because it sounds like an opening song. The mood just fits.
I added in lots of reverb and gave the synthesizers the melody for most of the song. I definitely like the combination of instruments, especially the slow, high-pitched strings in the background. The beat was a little more difficult to work in, so I changed the tempo around a little to give it variety.
To me, Stargazing makes me feel like I’m chasing after something and I will reach it soon. If you have any feedback about the mood, the execution of the piece or the overall sound, leave a review! Those always make me happy :D
Also, this is the only song in the EP with a slower melody. While the next three songs will explore many different moods, they’re all quick and groovy pieces.
