Herein lies an alternate version of the denouement of my most recent album, Deparct.

The song itself is essentially the same as Dramene, but it uses different instrumentation and its ending is truncated.

If you'd like to hear the original, please listen to the album here:
Or, listen to it individually here:

I would hear your comments, especially if they compare the two songs.

I don't have much experience with ambient music but I definitely enjoyed this. I think it lacks depth, though, and would benefit from a lot of layering in your pads and foley samples. I think the birds at the beginning should have a more subtle presence, too.
Got me right in the feels, though. This would be perfect to listen to on a grey, rainy day (after all my family has been killed or something).

Fubaka responds:

Well, that's a bit morbid, but thanks for the feedback.

Personally, I'm not one for oversampling music. I feel that if I added much more, it would start to subtract from the song. Perhaps you will get that fuller feeling though, if you listen to the original version of the song.

Immediately I get hit with imagery with the birds and the pads set you in a nice secluded part of the woods. Then, the wind comes in and drives the birds away and it starts to feel like fall. I don't know if that's what you was going for but that's where it took me. Nice piece.

Fubaka responds:

Thank you.

You should definitely check out the original version. See how that feels.
