A Bunch of dumb bullshit i made a while ago and shouldn't have posted but here we are. Might take this down sometime soon because i vehemently hate the vocals

I've had this for a while but without lyrics, originally calling the song "Cardiac Arrest" since that title fit the original lyrics which i could not sing when i wrote them, and didn't fare much better when i tried again recently. so i wrote new ones. The song is about how intimacy tends to only go skin deep nowadays, people will bare themselves to you but you may never truly know who they are. A true connection comes from when everything is bared, and both people can see the ugliness that supports us, The hard, nonmalleable core of our persons, but also the dangers of baring ones self so deeply. This is also my first attempt at mixing backing vocals, and one of the few vocal takes in general I've been comfortable putting online.

Lyrics: Strip the clothes down to the feet
Strip the skin and bare your teeth
Strip the sinew from the bones
and we can lay here all alone

Show me something i can’t see
Feelings I thought out of reach
Show your skin if you want love
but bones tell more than tongues and teeth

I’ve waited out here far too long
my bones all bleached from summer suns
A warning sign to all who come
Stark white statue, color gone

But if you get me on my feet
Share your bones as well with me
Maybe we can walk this street until this heat's behind us

You might not tell from passing by
But these bones hold a lot of pride
Its not the scar marks on my hide
But rather gnaw marks deep inside

And when I get a look at you
I see the same old prideful glue
It's holding all our bones together
Viscous, rancid, what to do?

I'm not a waste of human flesh
Even though there's nothing left
I cannot change the man I am
Though I want to with every breath

But maybe it's not trying to be
a better man than others see
I see your bones you're just like me
Let's let ourselves become history.
