This is my entry for the 2015 NGAUC contest knock-out round.

I felt my youth calling to me a bit, so I made this little ditty in the vein of bands like Powerman 5000, Rammstein, a touch of Lamb Of God, and whatever other influences you hear in this song.

DAW: SONAR X3 Producer

Addictive Drums (ver.1)

Guitars and bass recorded with: Line 6 POD HD500

One of the best produced songs in the Metal category!

Nice! Tight sounding, rocking tune that most definitely reminds of Powerman 5000 (even though it's listed as an influence in the description).

Beautiful sound. Great guitar tones, I think you nailed that part of the mix.

Would love to hear the bass pop out a bit more in the lower frequencies (from 40hz up to around 90hz). Perhaps a bit more of the higher frequencies on the overall mix would also do it justice. Ya know, give it some more presence.

Vocals are great too, perhaps a few more layers would give it that extra oomph/in-your-face-ness.

Sounds great though, either way!

Ok wow. This is a good song. And I definitely hear Lamb of God. Your voice kinda sounds country with heavy emphasis on rock & metal, it's cool I like it.

I also would like to upload this to Youtube with the link on the vid to here.

DANG. That riff that you open with is SOLID. Not only that, but your vocals are pretty darn solid as well. I have to admit, I don’t listen to the growly heavy metal lyrics too often, but I recognize excellent vocals when I hear them, and you definitely have them. Well done.

I have to say, while I’m just throwing out all the things I like about this song, that the transition into the chorus, e.g. 1:55, is just really well done and satisfying. The first time I heard it, I got super pumped up!

Not only that, but the spoken word sections, like 1:40, that gradually get more intense into the shouting in the chorus, is just SO satisfying. Yes, it’s kind of a cliche, but You actually got me thinking that I need to listen to more music with growling vocals, which is a singular feat, let me tell you.

I’m actually having difficulty coming up with things to critique. Honestly, the riff may have gotten *slightly* overdone towards the end, but only slightly.

All in all? I gotta say. The vocals are definitely an acquired taste, and you might be distancing a few people who don't like them, but personally? I think you did a REALLY good job here. This was my favorite track in the Underdogs.

Overall Score: 9.5/10
