After reading that I got through the audition stage of the competition I sat down on my day off work and hammered something out. I tried to create a minimalist approach then build into a wall of metal!

Production wise this taken the most effort, I even read several mixing and production blogs to help with this one! Anyways Hope you enjoy it!

I like it, but it doesn't flow as well as what I am used to. I guess that's just metal, but I think if you could improve your transitions it would sound less segmented. I am also used to metal voices being a bit more intrusive - maybe I shouldn't be using earphones? The equilibrium messes with the sound quite a bit. Regardless of my quirky interpretation, it's a very solid tune.
