This is a song for a good friend of mine. Happy birthday!

Note: It was supposed to be a loop, but I couldn't get it to loop seamlessly, so I just extended it.

I like the atmospheric nature of this piece. I only realized it was "happy birthday" at about 30 seconds in. XD You definitely added a unique and creative mood to the song, but perhaps I would've at least liked to see some more variation, since this piece was kind of really long for just being "Happy birthday" over some warm pads. Otherwise, it probably should've been 45 seconds and not 2+ minutes. "Goddammit Andrew, you're taking this way too seriously." --> There! I said it for you. ;)

Like I said, I wanted it to loop after 45 seconds, but it didn't work so I just extended it.

Edit: I forgot to mention, this song wasn't for me. It was for a friend of mine.

nice reharmonization! The strings got a little muddy at some points. I think with the reverb drenched synths and the super sludgy attack/decay on the strings did it. Making an element here or there a bit more punchy might help clean it up a bit. That said, nice work!

Actually, the strings are just a pad from the Nexus2 VST, so there weren't many parameters to change. I made this song in a very short amount of time, so I couldn't put as much love, care, and attention to it as I normally would in my orchestral pieces.

I am selfish enough to only make covers of this song for my own birthdays, so I'm glad to hear that someone does so to celebrate others XD

I wanted to make one for my birthday, but I was sick that day so I couldn't.

I actually modeled this one after your latest birthday song. I couldn't figure out how to make it loop properly though ^^
