Good enough to be jazz...
I like the violin in jazz... It's so commonly passed over in the jazz world, but there have been a few greats... I can't recall their names at the moment, but they were there. And it did have a funky beat, but it had that swing to it. Pretty jazz IMHO.
Sounds a bit more like swing, if you know where I'm coming from though, but the instruments are very good. It would be nice if you added some vocals, nothing too big, just "shoobidiedooobidiebobdibob" stuff.
kind of dancing rhythm. listened , liked it , voted 5
It was ok... but not true jazz
it was a good attempt at jazz... but i dfound it lacked the true feel of jazz.
The beat was as u said... funky./.... different... interesting.
i never new that violin was in jazz.... especially this exclusively. Try and put it in more trumpet and trombone. Then you could have some "Shout" sections, where you have the whole thing moving and switching toward the same chords, creating a real nice harmony.
If you wanna hear what jazz is really about... go listen to "straight no chaser" By themolineus monk. Or Take Five by Dave Brubeck.
Listen to a few jazz hits for inspiration will you?
Meh i was bored not really a jazz fan
