As some of you might know, I spent the better part of this last year backpacking around East Asia. It was the trip of a lifetime and it made me realize more than ever how much I need music in my life.

I've been away from the piano for several months, so I sat down in front of my keyboard today determined to play. This is a recording of what I improvised (although I spent a few hours quantizing, adjusting velocities, trimming away some of the meandering bits, and arranging a proper beginning and end).
