Yeah

I liked it. If you`re not fond with it, then you shouldn`t submit it if you don`t have a feeling for doing it. I think you had. So you were right submitting :) (It`s better than most of mine)

- Fares a bitt beyond me, so I missed it a bit
+ Nice work on building the mood up, great ork actually
+ I liked your instruments.

I`d say it`s a fair 4 for this. Keep up the good work, and tell me if you make some more greatness!

Neat

Hey boomsquad.

The song you present here is interesting, but at the same time I feel that it is a tad bland sounding. It's missing... diversity? No that isn't the right word, it needs more instruments. You have the cello, strings and the snares. The snares are a little awkward sounding, a bit off. But thats not really important right now.

Some suggestions.

A flute. I keep thinking this song would do really good with a nice high flute, you know, really push the high octaves here, so far this song has some very deep layers.

Solo violin comes to mind as well, but this again is probably just my mind trying to find some high pitched instruments to throw on top.

Some bells? I suggest bells and choirs to everybody, cuz it seems like they is my fetish.

The song loops well, it flows pretty good, I would really hope you do resubmit as a better version. If you're using Fruity Studio's, I would love to help you with some good samples.

Anyways, good effort on this anyways, keep them coming man! Not every song you make is going to be a great success, if you make a song you personally don't like, don't fret it, learn from it, and move on.

Well it's not so bad!

This is good, it's close to being even better, you've got 2 synths at different octaves playing the same melody, you need to do more with the higher pitched one, but all in all good anyway!

Keep rolling out those tunes

Peace Out bro!

Stealth

come by my stuff see what you think!

Thanks!

boomsquad responds:

Three synths :P. As I said with Doomy Cheese the differences are minute.

I submitted purely on the fact of hoping other people will like as I myself dont find it that great perhaps due to the snare which I am reluctant to take out and can't make sound better (more like a marching snare) one day when I get better samples and shizzle I may resubmit a revised version.

Later Dude

sounds like something out of a strategy game :P

This is quite ok. I think you need to work on that snare, I didn't really think it went so well with the synths. And the second synth to come in (Higher pitched one) Should go for a little more variation, instead of just playing the same thing as the first synth. Anyway, good work, and be sure to check out my latest track! :D

boomsquad responds:

Yeah the snare doesn't feel right but when I did check how it sounded without it, it felt bland and that was the best pattern i could think of.

The second synth is just there to compliment the cello sounding synth. If you listen closely there are actually three synths the cello sounding one directed to both outputs and then one gravitating left and another for the right. Occasionaly they do their own thing but the difference is not very recognisable until you focus on listening to the different sounds rather than a piece.

Now we shall see what yours sounds like :P
