Impressions from Vilnius

Last summer(2006) i visited Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
The people i met there, the city and all the things happened there gave me the inspiration for this...
Everything started from the piano part, the "dreamy" strings section (with abuse of flanger, chorus and reverb) I made later to expres the blury memories and give a dreamy feel.
5/8 to 6/8 time signatures.

I really really miss that city.

Great

THis song is great as a mermorial pieace. Both exiting and calm with the background string sound and the forground piano. Nothings better then forever.

sorohanro responds:

Thank you very much. (Sorry for the late answer).

i actually went

and google mapped Lithuania, because i'm an ignorant american who had no idea where this place was. now i do, and if it's as amazing as this song, I....MUST....Go!! lol i like how you used the strings to kind of glue everything together and the piano is very relazing. good job!

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for the very nice review.
Now I realize the "educational" side of my music ... I guess i should name all my tracks from interesting places :))
Anyway, if you visit Lithuania, do it during spring or summer, there are some amazing places like Nida (on seaside) or rivers and forests. People go with canoes all summer long ...

Also check if you want "Thracian Jazz" and check who were the Thracians ;)

Dreamy

This is very amazing work my friend, I usually look for music that touches deep, this is one of those pieces. I am working a little myself to build inspirational music but can't find any programs for it... Also if you have some free time look up "Reasoner" here on newgrounds he does some good music as well, your work and his is so similar, but once again, I love this, I lookforward to more like it in the future, 10/10 for you bro.

sorohanro responds:

Thanx for the very nice words.
Doesn't matter what program you use, matters more what you want to do. I'm sure you'll find your way.

Very awesome. :)

Hiya 'gain! ^,^ It's me! :D

I've got to say, I really enjoyed this piece. Reminds me, in some sections, of Kingdom Hearts 2, the final battle. Doesn't matter though. :P Lol. This piece is a piece of it's own. ^,^ But I can't help but be reminded a bit. v,v; Lol. I more or less get the feeling of something final, yet not that huge. It's important, but in a subtle way, y'know? It's somewhat strange. v,v; Lol. Awesomeness. ;P Downright. ;D I still say you're like the Beethovan of present day (forgive me please if that was spelled wrong). v,v; And sorry to Beethovan too, especially since, if it was wrong, I just slaughtered his name twice. XP Lol. Meh. v,v; This is good environmental music right here. :) It definitely conveys a feeling. :D But to each their own, 'eh? ^,^ Hmm... I feel like there's more I could say and want to say. I'll wait for a bit. X) Lol.

Oh, I hope you get a chance to go back there. ^,^ It's apparently you loved the place, potentially as much, if not nearly, as you loved your previous wife. By the way, how did your second marriage go? Doing well, I hope. :) See y'round! ^,^ Again, awesomest of awesomeness! >;P Regarding the song. <,<; Lol.

sorohanro responds:

Beethovan is spelled actually Beethoven but don' worry, sound the same, too bad hat he actually was deaf so that make no difference, anyway, he died and i don't think he minds anymore :)))
Thanx for your words, quite flattering, but i'm not a Beethoven, i'm much much smaller.

Very mellow

The sounds are relaxing and the song seems good as if you were walking or entering the city during night time.

Btw, I'm Lithuanian, but I'm also an American. So maybe one day when I go to visit Lithuania I'll remember to put this on my MP3 player and play it, especially when I travel to Vilnius. It sounds beautiful from what you say.

sorohanro responds:

Lithuania is a very nice country, i just got home after a 3 days trip with canoes on Lithuanian rivers ... was amazing
thanx for review, i'm glad you like my tune
