that finding tenses for time-travel is/was/will be hell

So I embark upon my journey, the trip doesn't take long,
I step out of my time machine, but something has gone wrong
I see myself talking to me, and they both look at I,

future me then takes his cue, and promptly starts to go,
he walks past me and past me, and leaves in the time machine,
I've got a feeling that when I show up, I'll quickly follow me.

all this timey-wimey stuff is getting to my head,
but now I'm lonely, so I'm going back to do it all again
