This would fit more than just the main menu in a game. I'd say it could be used for the music during a level, and I already can think of a game and level I'm working on it would be fitting for. It doesn't give enough of a sense of urgency and danger for a boss, but it gives just enough to let you know that it won't be easy getting to the boss fight.
