yeah i created this because i love funky beats, weird rhythms and general obnoxiousness like using vocal samples that sound out of place but strangely addictive. hope you enjoy!

PS: I also never know what to categorize my music as except "miscellaneous" because I have no idea what genre this would fit into. Dance? Hip hop? I don't think it's either but it's somewhere round that region. Balearic? (lol)

This is so 80s, dawg! It's got that Paul's Boutique thing going on where every 30 seconds or so I hear a completely different set of drums -- first the clap, snareroll and cowbell thing, then the 808 kicks and herbie hancock rockit snares, then that stanton warriors shit, and then this kurtis blow shit, where you get all these drums from, man?

Definitely a party vibe. I think that main chord synth thing could use a little bit of reverb to give some space, cause everything in the mix sounds really close to my ears. I dunno.

Thanks, phospho. I've heard you say that my songs sound like Paul's Botique once before already, and I consider that a major compliment. So yeah, thanks for that. To tell you the truth, I don't download many drums, most of them are drums from "trap" kits but I tend not to use the usual "kicks" and "snares" that come with the pack, I like to use all the weird percussion sounds like cowbells and guiros and raw claps, swooshes and all that jazz. I've also adopted this really weird thing lately of using way too many vocal samples on my songs. It's just a strange desire I have and I understand it's really gimmicky but I love it :)

Yeah everyone's telling me I need to put reverb on my sounds to give them space, and they're probably right, but I have this weird want nowadays to have everything just have zero reverb. I love the sounds being really close to my ears for some reason. But then again, I hate it at the same time. So I should probably start using reverb again.

this is quite bland. there is very few beats and the few beats there are its just repeated.

haha maybe it was a little bit annoying to you. i can see why you'd find it repetitive. i was personally aiming for infectiously groovy. i will try to accommodate more towards your tastes from now on.
