On the mount of CorrĂ¡n Tuathail, stood the lonely hero who had fought the wars to defend his homeland. He had lost everything, his family, friends and comrade. However there was one and only one thing that he hadn't lost, hope.

As I thought those previous songs I made in Reborn were pushing my limitation of knowledge and skill in music composition. I was wrong. The amount of problems I encountered while making this one was huge. This truly tested my skill in orchestration and mastering.

As I wasn't crazy enough, I vowed to use D minor, aka Hans Zimmer scale, for a song that represent hope. I guess it was depended on how you use the scale, and not because of how its sound influence your emotion. I really doubted myself many times throughout the production for D minor.

I was working this piece and a collab with @LucidShadowDreamer in parallel. However, there were so many things to be finished in our collab, so I went ahead and finish Hope first. Our collab will be much more epic :).

I'm very sorry if it was choppy. There will be a fix uploaded soon. Also, I have not used EWQL Hollywood Strings in a while (due to addiction to Adagio), and you can heard them in here!

Enjoy, and review if you have time!

Edit. List of sample libraries I used in this track (in order of appearance!):

Embertone Glockenpillar, Symphobia Lumina, Spifire Harp, Tina Guo Legato, Spifire Solo Strings, Symphobia 2, Vir2 Violence (pulsing flute), Forgotten Voice Barbary, EWQL Hollywood Strings, Shevannai, CineBrass Pro, Spitfire Albion, Albion Loegria, Albion Iceni, Adagio Bass/Cello, Action Strike, CinePerc Epic, Stormdrum 2 and EWQL RA.

== This is an NGAUC Audition Round Review. ==

First things first. Holy crap, you do sooo wellll with those orchestral instruments. SO WELL! Step/JacobCadmus/SoundChris better watch their back... we have a new orchestral master in town, and his name is dem0lecule! If I was just scoring you on that, I'd give you an 11/10. Too bad I'm not... :P Anyways, this piece is just whoa. It sounds like I'm climbing a mountain in some foreign, enchanted land! With fairies! I do have a few complaints, though. First - the arrangement confuses me. I get the feeling of a *lot* of build up taking place, but it doesn't really ever seem to build *to* anything. For example, 2:50 starts these awesome bass things, which indicates a buildup, but then at 3:00, the rhythm of the bass actually eases up, which is disappointing and makes me feel like the buildup is petering out. By 3:30 it completely stops and all tension is lost! This happens throughout the song and leaves me feeling odd and unresolved.

On the mixing side - you did very well! It does suffer at a few points - one in particular is 5:00, where the rapid triplets are buried almost completely under the mix. This is kind of a shame since they were an excellent idea that would have added a lot to the song at that point - but in general, I feel like you did a great job with mixing. Anyway: this is a really really good song, and I think that with my issues with the arrangement tidied up, it would be amazing! Score: 8.5
