Well sounds very professional so it does. Good mix and sounds. Good transitions, sweeps, fx, etc...as for the song itself its enjoyable and motivating type song, lots of energy...The piano part is a good idea for the breakdown, wouldnt say the melodies/chords were that interesting though personally but the sounds and mix are clear and fresh....also it goes on a bit long tbh...good when the electro sounds mix with the piano for build up though, thats nice, real nice...overall its a pro sounding song, the piano part whilst a good idea was not to exciting for me...mix and sound design all top notch...well done..added u on Soundclud

ChromaShift responds:

Thank you! Yes the piano isn't the first thing someone expect in a dark dubstep track :D Some other people here also criticized the length of some parts in my track, I fixed that, now it's one minute and 30 seconds shorter than before^^ The piano part wasn't supposed to be as aggressive as the part before, it's like a preparation for the last part, which mixes everything together :D

Never thought I sound top notch, so I thank you for this compliment too^^

Hmm.

The cymbals at the beginning are quite grating on the ears. Sounds like a ride/bell type sample, and if it is, it should have less color and timbre so that it isn't as intrusive. Remove some of its tail so that it doesn't ring out.

Sounds very epic, as Ceevro stated, from this point onward. Don't quite understand the odd volume change 'round 0:30. Made for an interesting drop, nonetheless.

The kit itself could use a little bit of cleaning up. Kick needs more strength behind it. Definitely could use a deeper sub. You attempt to compensate for it 'round 1:20, but it doesn't work so well here as it does 10 seconds later due to the different polar qualities between the samples. Something is interfering with the sample, which is probably due to another sample in the track.

Snare has too much release (at least for my tastes). It's producing extra noise that you don't particularly need, and it makes it sound a little more artificial than it actually is. It is stylized, but it'd probably work far better if it wasn't so "in your face."

The signature change was welcome, albeit a bit sudden @ 1:30.

Piano work is pretty interesting midway through. Could use some dynamic variation as it stays at fortissimo the entire time that it's present. The chops afterwards though aren't particularly as enjoyable they don't change much throughout and don't see real progression until 5:30. As Ceevro stated, it can definitely stand on its own without the extra instrumentation in the background.

Compositionally, it's good. There is just too much repetition in-between. State your phrases and transition accordingly with a different theme. You can use continuation as a means of referencing back to the last phrase, but it shouldn't last much longer than 8-16 bars, y'know?

Be succinct and trim the filler.

All of these points aside, I enjoyed it for what it was - a fairly epic and thematic track with some cool accentuations.

Keep it up!

ChromaShift responds:

Thank you too for this honest and detailed review. I edited my track and uploaded it here, maybe I managed to make it sound better. Also trimmed the length of the track. I hope it's better now, thanks also for being a fan now ;D

Thoughts while listening:
Ugh, that hissing/ringing sound is killing me! Chord progression is good. Epic-type pacing. Waiting for something overtop of the chords. Timing mixup at 1:30 is confusing me...does make for interesting listening though. Finally, a change at 2:45 to piano, with a melody line and everything! OK...full minute of the same two notes is a bit much. And now you're simply putting all the parts together. Something of a melody going at 5:30.

Thoughts after listening:

Some Improvements;
-This song takes way too long to make it's point. The chord progression shouldn't go through 24 bars to establish itself. Look back at your mix, and anytime that you have the exact same thing playing for more than two loops, delete the extra loops.
-The hissing/ringing sound you had at the beginning made my ears bleed a little. You might think about some more tight sounds to use for percussion. A long-ringing sound makes a good cymbal, but it shouldn't be used as a hi-hat.
-The two-note piano build takes way too many repititions to fall into the rhythm section, where you eventually put it. Make the switch, and don't keep us in sus...

Some good things;
-Epic-type sound.
-Honestly, the piano solo could stand on it's own as an instrumental. Well-done.
-Some really skillful mixups in the rhythm, and effectively used.

Overall, this piece has the sound your were going for, it just takes twice as much time as it needs to take to get there.

3/5, R4R

ChromaShift responds:

Thank you for this detailed review and some things that will help me to improve. I edited my track and uploaded it on my profile, maybe it's better this time :D
Also thank you for a honest review because this helps me much more than just a 5 stars voting without mentioning why.
