I never seem to know what to do with my kicks. They're probably the weakest part of my entire process. I do like the mixing of the claps and the hi-hats in this, though. But yeah, the concept of mixing kicks to make them sound nice eludes me xD
Yes! I love the strings too, they're a .sf2 I found, not sure from where, but I just searched "orchestral .sf2" i think, or my friend linked me.
I think I overdo the syncopation sometimes, where my tracks become messy, but I *do* like syncopation, like, a lot haha
