I Love this! is so Awesome!
Found a really strum-friendly chord progression that I've just been loving playing. Decided it was time to songify it. Some inspiration from Billy Joel, Bo Diddley, and a few others tossed in there. This was just super-fun to play!
LYRICS:
She comes down on a summer day
With a beau on her arm and a bottle of JD
There's a smile on her face that don't reach her eyes
She cuts down on sympathy
As she cracks open the bottle and turns to face me
The whole whiskey thing it's coming as a surprise
And she's like, wooo
You got this penchant for old things and memories, wooo
And it's just plain out of style you see, and it's like, wooo
You shoulda done way more to impress me now, wooo
But this world's way to old for me
And she's like,
You gotta go it alone for a while
There's gotta be someone who can make you smile
But that someone just ain't never gonna be anything like me
And I'm like,
You've got it all figured out, I guess
But there's something out there you haven't addressed
And that's why I love old things and memories
And I'm like, wooo
I've got this penchant for old things and memories, wooo
And they're just plain out of style you say now, wooo
But I won't be anything else after tomorrow, wooo
They're all that's left of today
And I'm like, wooo
I've got this penchant for old things and memories, wooo
And it's easy to say that they don't mean a thing, wooo
But they're all that can take to tomorrow, wooo
They're all that's left of today
I Love this! is so Awesome!
I no like the breaking up buts its good other than that
This is fairly catchy and has nice lyrics, too. I think the main issue I have with it, though, is that the guitar could be louder (and the vocals could be turned down a bit), as it's hard to listen at some points. The singing was overall okay, but, as you pointed out, a bit flat/pitchy in some parts. Still, a nice song.
Hmm...easy adjustments to make. Will re-mix when I get home.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
