A fan-made track originally made in 2013 using DOOM 64's instruments from its N64 ROM file!
I really adored DOOM 64 and its soundtrack, due to how much more atmospheric it is, which made you felt like you were going straight to hell. Note that the PS1 version had ambient music as well. Both versions of this game had their music composed by none other than Aubrey Hodges, which is why they sound familiar towards each other. I have to give him props for spicing things up when it comes to a game like this one. These soundtracks really helped make DOOM feel more like a horror game, and nearly made it a new experience.
The name of the track [obviously] is "Putrefying Palindrome". Why did I name it that, you may ask? All I'm going to say is that it's somewhat related to what's happening in the video I made for the track, and more to do with the composition itself. Cryptic? I know.
Funny thing to mention, the original name of this project file was "Very Crappy Attempt at Imitating Aubrey Hodges' Style". Ha-ha, I didn't really think highly of myself when this was finished at the time. It wasn't released to the public until now.
If you have never played this game before and would like to try out DOOM in a different light, I recommend trying this mod out:
