Thanks a lot. :)
Shit like this makes me pretty jealous lol. Can't wait to hear more!
Wow thanks. But I didn't play the real instruments like you did since I mainly write electronic pieces. That plug-in is just too realistic. XD
The beginning of the song left me feeling underwhelmed knowing that this song is called escape. Seriously, you had me thinking you decided to write Dream Theater's version of "You Suffer" by Napalm Death. However, you made up for it with a bunch of great riffs and tasty solos. The ending, though, is by far my favorite part of the song. It felt like an ending. Everything about said "Okay, this is the end. Now write your review Pixel, write your review.". My main problem is that the instruments sound like they were done on GarageBand or something similar to that, namely the bass. To improve this I would write some lyrics. I say that a lot on here, and considering what I've heard for lyrics it's probably best I shut up, but something about the way this song is made tells me that you can write some decent lyrics. Not John Petrucci or MJK, I said decent. In conclusion I feel you could have done so much more with this, but I did enjoy it. By the way, my reviews are not opinion based, at least I try not to make them that way.
I intended to make that title like escape button on the keyboard because A piece of music for my birthday last year is Return, which is also another name of enter button. All about that bass, I use FL studio and I still have difficulty using midi CC automations while there's no problem doing it on the guitars. (vibrato, slide, etc.) I did wrote lyrics for it but it's only choruses. (Perhaps I'm bad at trying to be a poet and a native English speaker. :P) I just wanted it to be published exactly on my birthday.
Anyway, I appreciate everyone who spent their time to write their review, or at least, comment about my music. Yours is very useful for me.
That ending perspective though. XD
Looking mainly at the drum section, I personally felt they were a bit lacking. As a side note, a few more fills could have been put in as well. But I really liked the broken double bass rolling bits. And the eighths around 3:25. And I enjoyed the song overall.
I've heard that adding eighth notes to the kick makes the beat more dramatic. XD
Thanks for this review man.
