Amazing. What is that instrument that plays the entire time throughout the song? Like the high pitched bell-sort of thing? Because it sounds fantastic and unique. Take the 5 stars :D
So what's my first submission in 2015? A remix from Chrono Trigger, of course! Let's see...it was back in 2011 that I uploaded my first version of Schala's Theme, and here I am again. To me, the music is just that good.
Not much else to say, really. It's a loop, so hey--feel free to use it in something CT-related or otherwise, if the spirit moves you. Enjoy the music.

Thanks a bunch for the quick review, Zechla! That would be the Bellarina from the Sytrus library. I can't say I've heard anything else that uses it elsewhere in my audio meanderings, though I'm sure someone has. I'm glad that this remix has such a distinctive sound! ^__^
nice song never heard like this.
That's the best part of making a remix: artistic license. Glad you dig it and thanks for leaving a review!
Oh yeah. The music in both Chrono trigger and Chrono Cross is awesome. I haven't heard all of it yet, but some of my favorites include "600 AD" and "People Imprisoned by Destiny". I'm biased though, as this is mostly due to the awesome transcriptions (into sheet music and MIDI files) by kLuTz. They get progressively more difficult, so they were great songs to play when I started out learning the piano :3
Anyway, back to this song. Holy crap the production is good! That whistle sound is amazing O.O
Although the intruments are much higher quality, this track really brings back all the retro rpg feelings.
All the synths are nice, and I love the bass you used. The percussion fits in well too.
I don't really have anything to complain about, just wanted to let you know you've done a great job ;)
There's even some Chrono Cross note progression thrown in for good measure! It seems fitting since the worlds overlap in a very literal way, and it sounds just as good in practice as it did within my mind's eye. Mind's...ear?
I'm glad to hear that the retro vibe still manages to come through, and thank you for leaving a review! I appreciate all of it, and you can drop by any ol' time. It's always a pleasure, Lucid. :D
I have so much respect for your talent when it comes to the manipulation of sound design. This is brilliant.
Aw, thank you so very much, Jordi! That is quite the compliment, and I hope to continue making music that you enjoy for a very long time to come. ^___^
You are immensely talented, yourself! I am always looking forward to your next submission.
