Actual Title (not enough space): "Even a Burning Phoenix Foresees its Resurgence..."

Happy new year everyone!! To celebrate the beauty of 2014, I'm knocking off the new year by releasing a new song - one which captures the essence of my year. This time last year, I was recording/tinkering with the song I present today, and, although I didn't know it at the time, this marked the beginning of perhaps the greatest journey of my entire life. Having transitioned out of the complacency of a stable job and "guaranteed success", I reveled in the beauty of what could be and structured all of my life, actions, etc such that I could reinvent my entirety and be the best version of myself possible. As I write this, I sit upon the fruits and labors of that journey (and am still growing), and my personal growth has transcended beyond all of my expectations. This song - which is entitled "Even a Burning Phoenix Foresees its Resurgence..." (pre-drums mix) - captures the starting point of that journey and eventually spawned a new album/collection of songs, which I am entitling Kaizen. Serving as track 2, "Even a Burning Phoenix Foresees its Resurgence..." not only captures the hope inherent in every personal journey, but it also attempts to convey the concept of faith. Once you make a decision to go and formulate a feasible plan, faith (and its ensuing momentum) is the operative word; it allows you to buy in to your endeavors and never meander from your goals. So, as we're all embarking on new year's resolutions, keep that in mind. Remember that any meaningful, long-lasting change is something which takes time and dedication, and faith / "buying in" helps in executing a properly formulated plan and dreams. Each new year is whatever you make it out to be; so, let's dedicate this one to growth and the beauty inherent in what's possible. Early this year, I also plan on debuting another huge project I've been shaping up in my mind for the past 6 months, and I'm super excited to share it with everyone . Happy New Year everyone, and hopefully you enjoy the new track (my favorite part starts at 2:30)!!!

I love your work, dude. I'm glad to hear a new track, even if I found it a little late.

KD18 responds:

Thanks for the kind response, and I'm glad that you enjoy my recordings :)!

Loved this one so much I couldn't let it go

KD18 responds:

Thanks, I'm glad that someone enjoys it :D. This one has actually been sitting on my hard drive in an unmixed state for almost a year; so, it's nice to get it out there finally. I've also been experimenting with some drums on this track and may end up releasing a drummed version at some point.
